Marissa Kalkman serves as the Director of Learning for the Kern National Network for Flourishing in Health (KNN) and leads the national learning consortium (KNN FOREST) that convenes individuals from the network and KNN’s partner institutions to share practice, generate insight, and inspire innovation toward flourishing-centered cultures in the health ecosystem. She also contributes to advancing KNN’s Bridging Across Differences Toward Flourishing initiative, supporting institutions to integrate relationship-centered dialogue into leadership, learning, and organizational practice.
Marissa is a seasoned advisor in workforce well-being, organizational culture and leadership development with nearly 20 years of experience across corporate, government, health and education sectors. She brings a systems-thinking approach to developing people and strategy, with a focus on how leaders and institutions intentionally shape cultures where people can flourish.
Marissa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Public Health Education, and a Master of Science in Health Promotion from Indiana University and holds credentials as a Master Certified Health Educator (MCHES) and a professional coach.
