Faculty Scholars Program

We are pleased to announce the KNN Faculty Scholars 2026-2027 program cycle.
Fellows will participate in the Harvard Macy Institute Program for Educators in Health Professions plus receive mentorship, guidance and expertise from the KNN.

Program Description

The KNN, alongside the Harvard Macy Institute, designed this program to cultivate and advance leaders in health professions education. This dynamic program merges experiential learning, educational project work, and professional development with mentorship, aiming to nurture leadership that promotes flourishing within educational and healthcare environments.

 

Who Should Apply?

  • Faculty members at U.S. accredited health professions schools
  • Emerging or existing leaders in health professions education
  • Candidates with a proposed educational project integrating the KNN Framework for Flourishing
  • Candidates with a commitment from their home institution to participate in this program

Program Benefits

  • Funding for tuition and travel to the 2026-2027 Harvard Macy Institute's Program for Educators in Health Professions
  • Participation in a two-day KNN learning intensive and the 2027 KNN Conference (Sept 2027)
  • Mentorship and networking within the KNN and HMI communities
  • Continued project and implementation support from the KNN

 

Key Program Dates

  • March 11, 2026: Application opens
  • May 27, 2026: Application deadline at 11:59 pm ET
  • July 17, 2026: Latest date of notification to Scholars of acceptance
  • Sept 1, 2026: Faculty Scholar appointment begins
  • Oct 5  - Oct 9, 2026: HMI Educator’s Program (Week 1- Virtual)
  • Nov 2026 - April 2027: Monthly HMI continuity sessions and KNN community meetings
  • May 2  - May 7, 2027: HMI Educator’s Program (Week 2 - In Boston)
  • Sept 2027: Annual KNN Conference for project presentations
